1. Introduction

Thank you for using Qianlog (“we,” “our,” or the “App”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information in our App.

2. Information Collection and Storage

How the App handles your data depends on which features you use:

Local Storage (Basic Features)

Fortune records, notes, and preferences you create in the App are stored locally on your device by default and are never uploaded to any server.

Cloud Storage (In-App Purchases and AI Fortune Reading)

If you use in-app purchases or the AI Fortune Reading feature, you will be required to sign in with a Google account. The following data is processed and stored via Firebase (Google’s cloud platform):

Purchase records and usage counts: Stored permanently on Firebase to verify your purchase entitlements and manage your remaining credits.
AI Fortune Reading data (fortune text, your prayer/wish content, and AI reading results): Stored temporarily on Firebase in encrypted form. Once you download your AI reading results from the App, all associated personal data is immediately deleted from Firebase. Only purchase and usage records are retained.
Exception: If you do not download your completed AI reading results, that data will remain on Firebase in an encrypted state until you complete the download.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

When you use only the basic features (without sign-in), we do not collect:

Personal identification information (name, email address, phone number, etc.)
Location data
Contact information
Photos or media files
Device identifiers (except as described in Section 4)
Usage patterns or behavioral data (except as described in Section 4)

If you choose to use features that require sign-in, we obtain basic account information (such as your email address) through your Google account, used solely to authenticate your identity and manage your purchase records.

4. Firebase Services

The App uses the following Firebase services (provided by Google):

Firebase Analytics (Anonymous Analytics)

Helps us understand how users interact with the App and improve the user experience.

Anonymous usage statistics (e.g., which features are used most frequently)
General device information (e.g., device model, operating system version)
App crash reports and performance data
Anonymous identifiers assigned by Firebase

This data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify you personally.

Firebase Authentication

Used for Google account sign-in, enabled only when you use in-app purchases or the AI Fortune Reading feature.

Firebase Cloud Firestore (Cloud Data Storage)

Used to store purchase records, usage counts, and temporarily store encrypted AI Fortune Reading data.

You can opt out of Firebase Analytics through your device settings.

5. Data Security

The App takes the following measures to protect your data:

Local data: Your fortune records and personal notes remain on your device only and are never transmitted through our servers.
Cloud data encryption: All personal data stored on Firebase (including fortune text, prayer/wish content, and AI reading results) is stored in encrypted form, never in plain text.
Minimal data retention: Personal data related to AI Fortune Reading is immediately deleted from Firebase once you download it.

We recommend backing up your device regularly to prevent loss of locally stored data. If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data will be deleted.

6. Data Retention

Local data: Retained until you manually delete individual records within the App or uninstall the App.
Purchase records and usage counts: Stored on Firebase until you request deletion of your account data.
AI Fortune Reading data (fortune text, prayer/wish content, reading results): Deleted from Firebase immediately after you download your results. If you do not download your results, the data remains on Firebase in encrypted form until you complete the download.

7. Third-Party Services

Google Firebase: Used for account authentication, cloud data storage, and anonymous usage analytics. Please refer to the Firebase Privacy Policy for details:

In-App Purchases: The App offers in-app purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play. All payment transactions are processed directly by Apple or Google. We do not collect, store, or access any of your payment information. Please refer to Apple’s or Google’s respective privacy policies for details.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). The App is suitable for general audiences.

9. Regional Applicability

This Privacy Policy applies to users in all regions. If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you also have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you are located in California, USA, you also have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). To submit a request regarding these rights, please contact us using the information provided in Section 12.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App with an updated “Last Updated” date.

11. Your Rights

Local data: You have complete control over data stored on your device. You can delete specific records within the App or remove all local data by uninstalling the App.
Cloud data: If you wish to delete personal data stored on Firebase (including purchase records and usage counts), please contact us using the information in Section 12.
AI Fortune Reading data: After you download your AI reading results, the associated personal data is automatically deleted from Firebase.
